This I Believe
            I believe that nothing is impossible. I think if you try your best, everything is possible. When people say certain things are impossible to do, they are looking for an excuse for themselves. They just give up without putting any efforts in doing them. Believing in what you can do is really important, too. If you set up your goal for what you are going to do, give yourself confidence and make it done. I have some experiences from back at the time that I prove nothing is impossible.
            One time I was playing in a basketball game and we were down by 15 in the last ten minutes. I started scoring and assisting a lot and at the last second, I made the clutching jump shot and we ended up winning that game. When my teammates were giving up, I did not put my head down; instead, I kept up the intensity and brought my teammates’ back at the game. After the clutching jump shot, I proved nothing is impossible, is just about the desire in doing so. I knew I could do it and I did.
            Gilbert Arenas, the point guard of Washington Wizard proved nothing is impossible. Arenas had been a bench warmer for his rookie year and sophomore year in the NBA. He did not give up; instead, he practiced harder than any other players on the team. Arenas first appearance in the game proved that all the work he had put into basketball was worth it. His coach saw his potential and future, so the next game, he became a starting player. He is now known as a star player in the league and has been improving more ever since. He proved that if you put hard works into what you do, one day you would deserve the feedback.
            Kuo Hong Chih, a Taiwanese pitcher of the LA Dodgers proved that nothing is impossible. Kuo is a powerful lefty pitcher. He has a really good arm as a lefty pitcher. When he first came to United States to begin his new journey, it was not successful. He had thrown his arms out so many times that he got so many major surgeries. Usually when a pitcher gets that many surgeries, their Major League journey is over, but Kuo did not give up. He’s been working himself out in the Minor League until last year, he was moved up to the Major League. He pitched some wonderful games and he also made a history. He was the first Asian pitcher that hit a home run in a game. He proved that he could do it, it was just the matter of time and efforts, and he did it.
            “Nothing is impossible” is a quote that everyone should always keep in mind. If you actually try your best, everything is possible. People always say something is impossible to be done because they do not believe in themselves. They just give up without actually trying it. It is important to always try your best in every circumstance.
