Nantucket Summer
The most beautiful place I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing is Nantucket. My aunt and uncle have lived on Nantucket for some time now and I look forward every year to going to visit them over the summer. Every time we go it starts out the same, I look forward to leaving for weeks but dread the three-hour hours it takes to arrive in Hyannis only to hop on the ferry for another hour. Don’t let me fool you though I loved every minute of it for the sheer fact that every time I got annoyed I reminded myself I was going to my favorite place on earth. The first time I rode the ferry over to Nantucket was the best, I was so excited and it was a beautiful day, the sea was calm and the breeze reminded me laying out on my favorite beach soaking in the sun.
I knew my destination was close because I could see the beam from Brant Point, my mood instantly improved; IM FINALLY HERE was all that was running through my head. When I got off the ferry my aunt and uncle were waiting at the dock with smiles on their faces. I was so happy to be back, I truly feel at home when I’m on the island.
My most valuable memory from Nantucket was at eel point. I was driving with my friend in his truck out to eel point where a lot of the locals go fishing, when we got to there he parked his truck and we sat in the back and watched the sunset. It was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen, there was nothing but ocean in front of us and the sun was setting into the ocean. It looked as if the sun was falling into the water and it is something I will never forget.
