English III Honors = a year course that covers the span of western literature from the Greeks and the Bible through Beowulf, Canterbury Tales, and six plays by Shakespeare, to poetry. Students take the AP exam in English Literature & Composition in May. | Shakespeare in Spring (guess) = elective in which the contents vary, currently comedies like Twelfth Night, Much Ado About Nothing, Taming of the Shrew, and the Comedy of Errors, but we've done other comedies, as well as history plays (Richard III, Henry V, Henry IV part one) and others (Romeo & Juliet, The Tempest). |
