2 strong belief in God or in the doctrines of a religion, based on spiritual apprehension rather than proof.

• a strongly held belief or theory : the faith that life will expand until it fills the universe.
Essential Questions for the Year:
- What is the American identity? Why?
- Recognizing Suffield's theme of the year, how has 'faith' shaped the American identity? What have Americans had faith in? What have they lost faith in? Why?
