Mission:
The Peer Tutor Program is an organization of students who provide academic help to students in a caring, understanding, and respectful manner.
Goals:
• Improve students’ academic performance
• Increase the visibility of the program
• Make signing up more accessible and convenient
• Encourage students to seek help from tutors
• Encourage teachers to recommend tutors or identify
students who need tutors
• Recruit tutors
• Provide feedback to active tutors
• Create a comfortable learning environment for students
Roles and Duties
First and most importantly, it is the responsibility of the peer tutor leaders to be able to pair a tutor with a tutee. This means recognizing what pairing will be beneficial to both people. This may require being a tutor as well for the courses one may specialize in. We have made the job of pairing easier with our spreadsheet, which lays out everything in an organized fashion so it is easy to tell who is teaching whom, in what subject, and when.
Peer Tutor Leader Tasks
Desired skills for student leaders:

Application process
None for the leaders; however there is a form to become a tutor or a tutee.
