What to do if the screen is blank:
- Turn on the machine and look very closely at the screen.
- Check to see if the screen is actually blank or if just the backlight went out.
- If the backlight went out then connect the machine to an external monitor and back up the machine's files.
- The machine will then need to be sent out to Apple to be fixed.
- If the problem is not the backlight then first try connecting it to an external monitor to back up the files.
- If this does not work then try booting the computer into target mode and back up the files that way.
- The computer will have to be sent out to Apple because we cannot fix those kind of hardware problems in the CRC.
