What to do if the screen is blank:

• Turn on the machine and look very closely at the screen.
• Check to see if the screen is actually blank or if just the backlight went out.
• If the backlight went out then connect the machine to an external monitor and back up the machine's files.
• The machine will then need to be sent out to Apple to be fixed.
• If the problem is not the backlight then first try connecting it to an external monitor to back up the files.
• If this does not work then try booting the computer into target mode and back up the files that way.
• The computer will have to be sent out to Apple because we cannot fix those kind of hardware problems in the CRC.
